How this free tool is funded
The Temu / Shein Tariff Impact Checker is free to use and always will be. To help cover hosting and maintenance, this page carries two kinds of paid links, both clearly labelled and kept separate from the calculator and the editorial content (the methodology and legal pages):
- Amazon affiliate links. The "handy gear" section links to Amazon search
results (postal scales, label printers, US import reference books) using the
Amazon Associates tag
bordertrip-20. As an Amazon Associate we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through those links, at no extra cost to you. They are ordinary product searches — we do not recommend a specific item or quote a price. - An Easyship link. For readers who import or resell at scale, we link to Easyship, a landed-cost and shipping platform. We are not currently in Easyship's partner program, so that link carries no tracking ID and earns us nothing today; it points to the plain easyship.com homepage. If we join their program later, this disclosure will be updated and the link may become a paid referral.
Neither kind of link changes the duty figures the calculator produces. Those numbers come only from the official US government rate schedules described on the methodology page — CBP, USTR, the Federal Register, and the HTSUS — and are not influenced by any advertiser.
The retailer names (Temu, Shein, AliExpress) appear only because the tool estimates duty for parcels bought from those marketplaces — they are descriptive, not promotional, and we have no relationship with them.
All affiliate, sponsored, or paid links on this site are labelled in line with the FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255).
Editorial independence
The duty estimates, source citations, and methodology are not influenced by any advertiser. The rate tables are pinned to the dataset version shown on the methodology page and are based solely on published US government sources.
